Gyeonggi-do Provides Up to 20 Million KRW Support for Environmental Conservation and Education Projects by Non-Profit Private Organizations
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting participating organizations for the 'Nonprofit Private Organization Environmental Conservation Fund Support Project' to support environmental education and conservation activities of nonprofit private organizations within the province.
The support target is nonprofit private organizations in the environmental field with their main office located in Gyeonggi Province as of the announcement date, January 5. Selected organizations will receive project funding up to 20 million KRW, excluding a 20% self-contribution from the total project cost.
The support project consists of 10 projects across 2 public contest categories.
Applications are open from the 6th to the 28th of this month. The province will finalize the supported organizations and projects in early March after document review, evaluation by private experts, and deliberation and resolution by the Environmental Conservation Fund Management Committee.

Um Jin-seop, Director of the Provincial Environment Bureau, said, "This project recruitment is being promoted to activate environmental education and conservation activities of nonprofit private organizations and to create a clean environment," urging many organizations to show interest and participate.
