Kookmin Bank Expands Mobile Hometax Simple Authentication Service
Use KB Mobile Certificate to Access the Year-End Tax Settlement Simplification Service on Sontax (Mobile Hometax)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 4th that it has expanded its simple authentication service to allow year-end tax settlement through the KB Mobile Certificate on ‘Sontax (Mobile Hometax)’ as well.
KB Kookmin Bank has been providing a stable simple authentication service for the past year, starting with the 2020 year-end tax settlement. Previously, it was only available on PC, but from the 15th, the 2021 year-end tax settlement simplification service can be used via the KB Mobile Certificate on mobile devices as well.
The KB Mobile Certificate was the first among financial institutions to be finally selected for the pilot project of ‘Public Sector Electronic Signature’ and is a representative certificate in the financial sector with an average monthly usage of about 77 million times last year. Even customers who are transacting with KB Kookmin Bank for the first time can issue it without visiting a branch if they have a smart device in their name and an ID card. Users can easily log in with pattern, fingerprint, or Face ID and conduct financial transactions with a 6-digit simple password without OTP or security card.
Additionally, the KB Mobile Certificate is currently introduced in about 52 public services such as ‘Government24’ and ‘Cheongyak Home’, providing simple authentication services. It can also be used in non-face-to-face channels of affiliates within the KB Financial Group, and especially when logging in with the KB Mobile Certificate on the KB Securities M-Able app, all transactions including stock trading and banking transactions are available without additional authentication.
