Brazilian President Hospitalized Urgently Due to Intestinal Obstruction Symptoms
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Jair Bolsonaro, the President of Brazil, was urgently hospitalized at a hospital in S?o Paulo in the early hours of the 3rd (local time) due to abdominal pain, according to Bloomberg News and others.
According to reports, President Bolsonaro showed symptoms of intestinal obstruction and was admitted to Vila Nova Star Hospital in downtown S?o Paulo for treatment, with surgery possibly required.
The hospital medical staff stated that the president's condition has returned to normal and that further details will be disclosed later.
Since being stabbed in the abdomen by an assailant during a presidential campaign rally in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, in early September 2018, President Bolsonaro has undergone surgical treatment more than four times.
Last July, he was also hospitalized after being diagnosed with intestinal obstruction following more than ten days of persistent hiccups.
