Seoul City Reports 770 Confirmed Cases by 6 PM... 102 More Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 770 from midnight to 6 p.m. on Monday, the 3rd, over an 18-hour period.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 102 more than the 668 cases on the previous day (the 2nd) and 31 fewer than the 801 cases a week ago (December 27). The total number of cases for the entire day was 993 on the 2nd and 1,290 on the 27th of last month.
The daily number of cases in Seoul surpassed 2,000 on November 30 last year (2,222 cases), and on December 14, it reached 3,165 cases, marking the first time it exceeded 3,000 and setting a record high.
Since then, the numbers have generally decreased, maintaining the 1,000 range for eight days from December 25 to January 1, before dropping to the 900 range on the 2nd.
