Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Presents Development Strategy at 2022 Opening Ceremony
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Convergence and Complex Port, Focused Development as a Smart Digital Port
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun) held the 2022 opening ceremony on the 3rd at the international conference hall on the 2nd floor of the World Marine Center.
In his New Year's address, President Park Seong-hyun stated, "We will make 2022 the first year of thorough preparation and phased execution for 50 years of going global and 100 years of leading the future," and emphasized, "We will create a YGPA culture that prioritizes customers and develop all employees into salespeople who work directly on site."
In particular, President Park presented short-term goals such as ▲ generating company-wide cargo volume ▲ improving pier productivity ▲ expanding the port hinterland complex ▲ establishing an ESG management system ▲ implementing carbon neutrality promotion strategies, saying, "We will create continuous development of Yeosu Gwangyang Port."
He added, "To focus on fostering Yeosu Gwangyang Port as a convergence and smart digital port, we must swiftly and actively introduce 4th Industrial Revolution technologies."
Furthermore, he urged, "Let us become Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority that communicates and coexists to contribute to regional and social development."
Meanwhile, after the opening ceremony, the authority held a New Year's refreshments sharing event for employees and staff of tenant companies in the office building.
