On the 3rd, President Gu said, "I am currently seeking related advice through a law firm and multiple legal experts," and added, "If appropriate reinstatement procedures are not carried out, legal action may be taken as early as this month."
President Gu explained that after re-requesting the corporation this month for reinstatement procedures such as restoring his name on the corporation’s registry, if there is no appropriate response, proceeding with a Plan B will be inevitable.
Earlier, President Gu requested the corporation to provide an office located in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, secretarial staff, a company vehicle, airport access pass, and intranet access rights, but currently, he has not been assigned duties as an executive, including the airport access pass.
President Gu stated, "When notifying reinstatement through the law firm last November, the corporation clearly conveyed that it has responsibility," and argued, "The more time is dragged on regarding this issue, the more disadvantageous it becomes for the corporation."
President Gu once again emphasized, "I will perform my CEO role at a minimum, and any department where work can be divided, large or small, will suffice." This implies his intention to restore his damaged honor through reinstatement and focus on work during the remaining term.
However, the possibility of President Gu’s actual return to work remains uncertain. The corporation’s management expressed opposition to Gu’s reinstatement, stating, "The organization must not become chaotic again," and the industry predicts that if Gu takes legal action, the corporation’s management may respond accordingly.
