The student organization 'Sinjeondaehyup' announced that six members, including Chairman Kim Tae-il, recently had their communication data accessed by investigative agencies, and early that morning, they posted large notices on university campuses such as Seoul National University and Kyung Hee University.
Through the notices, Sinjeondaehyup urged, "Investigative agencies must disclose the reason for accessing our innocent communication information," and strongly criticized the current government and investigative agencies, stating, "A world where every move is controlled is not far away," and "Those who spoke of overthrowing dictatorship now wield dictatorial power after coming to power."
Chairman Kim Tae-il lamented, "Because we posted the notices, police lines were set up, the National Security Act was reviewed, police entered my studio apartment without a warrant, my scooter keys were confiscated and I was threatened with arrest, I was fined for posting the notices, and I was sued for insult by the president. Despite all this, we had no choice but to post the notices more desperately," adding, "Now, we have even been subjected to telecommunication surveillance."
