668 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul by 6 PM... 52 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 668 from 0:00 to 6:00 PM on the 2nd.
This is 52 fewer than the 720 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day. It is also 131 fewer than the 799 cases reported a week ago on December 26, last year.
The total number of cases for the entire day was 1,183 the previous day and 1,496 on December 26, last year.
The daily number of cases in Seoul exceeded 2,000 on November 30 last year with 2,222 cases, and set a record high with the first 3,000-level cases at 3,165 on December 14 last year. Since then, the number has generally decreased, maintaining the 1,000-level for eight consecutive days since December 25 last year.
