The 'Just 3-Day Challenge' is an event inspired by the Korean idiom 'Jaksim Samil (作心三日).' While this phrase is commonly used to mean that resolutions often fade away quickly, it has recently been reinterpreted among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) as part of the trending 'Ritual Life,' which seeks daily achievements through short-term goals that require minimal effort.
The 'Just 3-Day Challenge' consists of six challenges that anyone can practice in daily life: dieting, drinking water, vegetarianism, abstaining from alcohol, frugality, and not getting angry.
To participate, customers can apply for their desired challenge through CU's membership application 'Pocket CU,' purchase the designated products, and accumulate CU membership points. One stamp is issued per eligible product purchased, and collecting a total of three stamps qualifies as successfully completing the challenge.
The challenge products are related to each goal: dieting includes The Health Diet series and salads; drinking water features HEYROO mineral water; vegetarianism offers vegetarian convenience food series; abstaining from alcohol includes non-alcoholic beer; frugality features the cost-effective GET coffee; and not getting angry includes chocolates and chocolate-flavored milk to recharge sugar levels.
Even those who are not CU membership members can participate by entering their name, contact information, and receipt number on the CU website event page or the Pocket CU app. Eligible products can be purchased at up to a 30% discount when using CU subscription coupons.
Among customers who achieve their challenge goals, CU will hold a drawing to award prizes such as the Egojin mini gym (dieting), LG PuriCare water purifier (drinking water), LG Tiiun Objet Collection (vegetarianism), Orthomol Immune (abstaining from alcohol), Illy Francis coffee machine (frugality), and a 1 million KRW gift certificate for Hyatt Hotel (not getting angry).
Yeon Jeong-wook, head of BGF Retail's marketing team, said, "We planned this event hoping that everyone can set small goals that make themselves happy and feel a sense of achievement throughout the year." He added, "In the coming New Year, CU will continue to strive to be a good friend-like company always close to customers."
