According to the legal community on the 31st, both the prosecution and Park's side were required to file an appeal within 7 days from the sentencing date, but no appeal was submitted to the court by the deadline, which was the previous day.
Park was prosecuted on charges of causing death by traffic accident under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling after colliding with a motorcycle that entered the intersection on a red light while she was speeding through a yellow light at the intersection in front of Sangam Elementary School in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, at 10:28 a.m. on May 10.
