Jeonju City to Begin Issuing 2022 Jeonju Love Gift Certificates Starting January 3 Next Year
From 9 AM on the 3rd... Monthly issuance limit raised to 20 billion KRW
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City will begin issuing the 2022 Jeonju Love Gift Certificate (Dwaeji Card) from 9 a.m. on January 3 next year.
According to Jeonju City on the 31st, the issuance scale of the 2022 Jeonju Love Gift Certificate is 240 billion KRW.
Jeonju City plans to operate by setting a monthly issuance limit amount the same as before for stable gift certificate management.
However, to enable more Jeonju citizens to use the Jeonju Love Gift Certificate, the monthly issuance limit amount has been raised from 15 billion KRW to 20 billion KRW.
Also, the annual purchase limit per person is set at 1.2 million KRW (January to November), with the remaining amount sold separately in December.
The monthly recharge limit of 300,000 KRW and 10% cashback remain the same as in 2021.
Since its issuance in November 2020, the Jeonju Love Gift Certificate, which has been subscribed to by about 179,000 people to date, is evaluated to contribute to revitalizing the local economy, which has been depressed due to COVID-19, by preventing the outflow of local funds.
The Dwaeji Card is a prepaid rechargeable card-type gift certificate that can be applied for and issued via a mobile app or designated financial institutions, and 10% of the charged amount is accumulated as cashback that can be used like cash when making payments.
