[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Parangsae Eye Clinic (located in Gwangju Metropolitan City) has once again donated 2 million KRW to the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon) this year.
The donation will be delivered to the Dong-gu Community Security Council through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea and will be used to provide warm winter supplies (kimchi, briquettes, etc.) to neighbors in need within the district.

Meanwhile, the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign, launched by the Community Chest of Korea on the 1st of this month, allows participation through ▲donations via KBS, MBC, and KBC broadcasting stations ▲donations through the social welfare departments of Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall and five district offices ▲donations through neighborhood community centers and local community security councils ▲membership in the Honor Society (a high-value individual donor club) ▲joining Good Stores and Good Workplace regular donations ▲ARS phone donations ▲QR code and simple payment ▲designated donations and in-kind donations.
Additionally, participation is possible through online fundraising on the Gwangju Love Fruit website, and donation consultations can be made by contacting the fundraising team at the Gwangju Love Fruit Secretariat.
◆ Gwangju-Jeonnam Korea Association of Real Estate Appraisers Joins Hope 2022 Campaign
The Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korea Association of Real Estate Appraisers (Chairman Kim Youngsang) donated 3 million KRW to the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon).
The donation ceremony was attended by Kim Youngsang, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korea Association of Real Estate Appraisers, Secretary Jeong Gyeongjun, and Lee Seongdo, Executive Director of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.
Chairman Kim Youngsang said, “I am very pleased to put into practice the sharing I have thought about in my heart,” and added, “I hope Gwangju becomes a warm city where it is good to live.”
◆ Korea Management Institute Donates 10 Million KRW to Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign
Korea Management Institute (CEO Kim Bohyun) donated 10 million KRW to the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon).
Korea Management Institute has previously participated in special fundraising for the Gangwon Province wildfire damage and COVID-19, and following last year’s campaign, it has once again donated to the Hope Sharing Campaign this year, setting an example for others.
Meanwhile, CEO Kim Bohyun is known to be the 61st member of the Gwangju Honor Society, a group of individual high-value donors who have donated over 100 million KRW, and actively participates in personal donations.
CEO Kim said, “I hope today’s sharing spreads into a greater wave of donations and leads to the expansion of a donation culture in the local community.”
◆ Daeyu A-Tech Donates 5.77 Million KRW to Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign
Daeyu A-Tech (CEO Kwon Uikyung) donated 5.77 million KRW to the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon).
Daeyu A-Tech is Gwangju’s first Sharing Honor Company and leads the development of welfare and sharing culture in the Gwangju community.
A Sharing Honor Company is a corporate donation program created by the Community Chest of Korea to discover and promote companies fulfilling social responsibility. It targets companies that have donated over 100 million KRW or have pledged to donate over 100 million KRW within three years.
Daeyu A-Tech has donated a total of about 322 million KRW, including in-kind donations, to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, and has been delivering employee fundraising donations through the Hope Sharing Campaign since 2017.
Manager Moon Kyungil said, “To overcome the difficult situation caused by COVID-19 together, employees raised more donations than last year,” and added, “We are pleased that employees united in spirit to contribute to the Gwangju community.”
◆ Smart Talent Development Institute Donates Money and Goods to Neighbors in Need
Smart Talent Development Institute (Director Cha Junsup) donated 3 million KRW and goods (10,000 masks) to neighbors in need through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon).
The donated goods will be delivered equally to Happy Nursing Home and Happy Rehabilitation Center, with 5,000 masks each.
Director Cha Junsup said, “Our Smart Talent Development Institute and the Community Chest of Korea share common values of ‘sharing’ and ‘empathy,’” and added, “We will continue our relationship with the Community Chest of Korea and strive for the development of community welfare.”
