Changwon City awarded commendations to contributors to sports development in 2021.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 30th, Changwon City in Gyeongnam awarded commendations to 18 individuals who contributed to the development of sports at the City Hall Citizen Hall.
Every year, the city selects and commends individuals who have worked hard to promote local sports.
Especially this year, despite difficult circumstances, various events such as the '60th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival' and the 'Bright Masan Bay National Triathlon Competition' were successfully held, giving hope to citizens exhausted by COVID-19.
At the award ceremony, the mayor's commendations were presented to eight executives of the Sports Council, including Vice Chairman Choi Jeong-ho who contributed to the successful hosting of the Provincial Sports Festival, eight executives of sports organizations including Lee Seung-yong, president of the City Squash Association, and two executives of the Sportspeople's Dongwoo Association.
The city is supporting and fostering professional sports teams and specialized sports through sports-friendly administration with the goal of becoming a 'K-Sports Leading City.' It is also focusing on building sports infrastructure, gaining attention as a training site for domestic and international teams.
