Yeonggwang-gun Beopseong-myeon Honored with Triple Crown at 'County Year-End Evaluation'

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Beopseong-myeon in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, achieved a triple crown in the year-end evaluation.

According to Yeonggwang-gun on the 30th, Beopseong-myeon achieved excellent results in three categories in various evaluations conducted by the county.

The county conducted evaluations of policy implementation performance by each department at the end of the year.

Beopseong-myeon was selected as the best (1st place) eup/myeon in two categories: forest park-related wildfire prevention under the jurisdiction of the Forestry Park Division and the volume-based waste fee system promotion under the Urban Environment Division, and was selected as an excellent (2nd place) department in the autonomous internal control policy promoted by the Planning and Budget Office.

The year-end evaluation conducted annually is challenging because the policies cannot be achieved in a short period due to the nature of the work, requiring steady management from the beginning of the year with a plan.

Therefore, while being selected as an excellent department in the evaluation is meaningful, Beopseong-myeon gained honor by receiving top evaluations in all three categories.

Im Hyeongpyo, head of Beopseong-myeon, said, “Looking back on the good results in the year-end evaluation, the scenes of employees working hard over the past year and the difficult COVID-19 situation flash before my eyes,” and added, “I think the good results came from diligently doing the given tasks without being obsessed with the evaluation.”
