On the 29th (local time), according to US media including the LA Times, the two reportedly agreed on a property division amounting to $400 million (approximately 473.6 billion KRW).
Schwarzenegger, originally from Austria, became well-known for his roles in the 'Terminator' series and 'True Lies.' He also served two terms as the governor of California.
Schwarzenegger married Shriver, who was an NBC reporter, in May 1986. Shriver is the niece of former President John F. Kennedy.
Their divorce became public in May 2011, 25 years after their marriage, when Schwarzenegger announced he would separate from Shriver.
At that time, Schwarzenegger and Shriver stated in a 'divorce statement,' "Our divorce is a private matter, and neither we nor any friends or family will mention it further."
However, in September 2012, public attention refocused on the couple when Schwarzenegger acknowledged a boy named Joseph Baena.
Baena, who closely resembles Schwarzenegger, is known to be the child of Mildred Baena, a housekeeper who worked for Schwarzenegger's family for 20 years.
Mildred Baena, who was already married, separated from her husband shortly after Joseph was born and divorced in 2008.
Later, Schwarzenegger mentioned in his memoir, 'Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story,' about his extramarital affair and Shriver's reaction at the time, saying, "For years I hoped Joseph was not my son, but he looks so much like me that there was no doubt he was my son."
However, Schwarzenegger's affair was not his first with the housekeeper, and his apology could not mend the rift between the two.
