Pass Rate 100% ... Dong-Eui University Department of Dental Hygiene and Department of Physical Therapy, All Passed the 49th National Examination
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Department of Dental Hygiene and the Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University College of Medical, Health, and Life Sciences achieved a 100% pass rate for all examinees in the 49th National Examination for Dental Hygienists and Physical Therapists in 2021.
All 37 prospective graduates from the Department of Dental Hygiene passed, and all 46 prospective graduates from the Department of Physical Therapy also passed with a 100% success rate.
The Department of Clinical Pathology had 48 candidates take the Clinical Pathologist National Examination, with 47 passing, resulting in a pass rate of 97.92%. Dong-Eui University's Department of Clinical Pathology consistently shows a higher pass rate than the national average each year.
For the 49th National Examination in 2021, the pass rates were as follows: 2,675 out of 3,155 Clinical Pathologist examinees passed, yielding an 84.8% pass rate; 4,683 out of 5,597 Physical Therapist examinees passed, with an 83.7% pass rate; and 5,046 out of 6,248 Dental Hygienist examinees passed, resulting in an 80.8% pass rate.
The Department of Dental Hygiene at Dong-Eui University was established in 2009 and achieved the milestone of having all graduates from its first class pass the national examination.
Dong-Eui University stated, “The Department of Dental Hygiene boasts a 100% employment rate for successful candidates through differentiated curriculum operation and volunteer activities.”
Department Head of Dental Hygiene, Lee Jeong-hwa, said, “We will strive to nurture professionals who can contribute to the improvement of national oral health and produce competitive dental hygienists.”
The Physical Therapist exam, which showed an 83.7% pass rate this year, has been on a declining trend since the 45th exam in 2018, when the pass rate was 90.6%.
The Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University was newly established in 2013 with an admission quota of 25 students, which was increased to 40 students in 2014. Since the first graduating class in 2017, it has maintained a 100% employment rate every year.
