Seoul Family Court Produces and Releases Adult Guardianship Information Video
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Seoul Family Court (Chief Judge Inkyum Kim) announced on the 30th that it has released a guide video for prospective guardians in adult guardianship cases on the court's website and YouTube channel.
The adult guardianship system is a system in which the court appoints a guardian to individuals whose judgment is impaired due to mental limitations caused by illness, disability, or old age, allowing them to receive property management and personal protection. When the family court receives a request from the individual, relatives, or prosecutors to appoint an adult guardian, it appoints a guardian after conducting a mental evaluation, family investigation, and hearing.

The family court produced and released a video titled "Start Knowing Just This About Guardianship" to help those who wish to use the guardianship system understand it better and to protect their interests. A court official stated, "We expect this to greatly contribute to providing accurate information about the guardianship system and protecting the interests of the ward who seeks assistance from the guardianship system."
