The Smart App Awards is the most prestigious mobile app evaluation ceremony in Korea, where a panel of over 4,000 leading internet experts selects innovative and excellent apps.
Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance's mobile app was recognized for enhancing usability and accessibility through an intuitive and clear user interface (UI), and for providing a friendly UI by guiding users through complex insurance tasks with user experience (UX) writing. The consistent expression of identity using Heungkuk's brand colors was also highly evaluated.
To respond to changes in the insurance environment and secure differentiated mobile business competitiveness, Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance completely revamped its 'mobile platform' in July this year. The keywords for the revamp are 'Play, Buy, Use,' meaning enjoying content, subscribing to products, and using contract services.
The main first screen was enhanced with customer-friendly features, including a design reflecting the latest trends, a customer-friendly welcome message, and a personalized screen centered on the customer that allows them to view their insurance subscription details at a glance. Additionally, a dedicated main screen for the elderly is provided to alleviate inconveniences in financial service use for senior customers.
In particular, to resolve the inconvenience of using joint certificates, usability was improved by introducing a financial certificate that can be used without installing separate programs.
