Gwangju Shinsegae Opens 'Year of the Black Tiger' with Up to 60% Sale

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. will hold its first regular New Year sale under the name ‘NEW YEAR NEW HOPE’ from January 2 to 16 next year.

Gwangju Shinsegae announced on the 29th that it has prepared various sale items with discounts of up to 60% starting from the first business day of the new year 2022.

With over 150 brands participating, this sale offers abundant discount benefits as well as a fortune cookie event conducted through the Shinsegae Department Store mobile app.

Additionally, for MZ generation customers familiar with contactless shopping, live broadcasts of popular winter products will be held.

First, from January 2 to 6, winter clothing products from brands such as CC Collect, Juke, and Duel will be showcased at the 1st floor event hall.

From January 10 to 16, a special exhibition of popular career & character products from brands like She’s Miss and Mojo Spinn will be held.

Moreover, from January 2 to 9, a special event for winter shoes and a new semester bag and accessories exhibition will be held at the B1 special stage.

Brand season-off sales will also join to enhance the New Year sale atmosphere.

Considering customers’ familiarity with contactless shopping, live broadcasts will continue, introducing popular winter products from Brooks, Oilily, Champion, and others.

The Shinsegae Department Store mobile app will host a fortune cookie event.

The fortune cookie event, running from the 2nd to the 16th, is open to anyone who accesses the app.

Through a lottery, various benefits will be provided, such as a 7~30% discount coupon usable on a single fashion brand purchase over 300,000 KRW, and a 5,000 KRW discount coupon usable on purchases over 10,000 KRW at specialty restaurants and the food plaza. The event is for customers who pay with Shinsegae affiliated cards.

A stamp attendance event will also be introduced via the app. Customers who participate once a day during the period and collect a total of 5 stamps will be entered into a draw to win a Chosun Hotel accommodation voucher (5 winners) valid throughout 2022.
