Gwangju Bank Donates to Gwangju-Jeonnam Aesarang Card Fundraiser
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 29th that it held a donation ceremony for the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Sarang Card’ at the Jeonnam Provincial Office, attended by Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, Roh Dong-il, Chairman of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, and other officials.
Launched in 2018 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Gwangju Bank’s founding, the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Sarang Card’ is a card that donates 0.5% of the usage amount of the Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Sarang Card (General, Platinum, Honors), 0.1% of the usage amount of the Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Corporate Sarang Card (General, Honors), and 0.2% of the usage amount of the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Sarang Honors V2 Card’ to the Community Chest of Korea in the region selected by the customer, thereby practicing hometown love sharing.
The total donation amount accumulated from the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Sarang Card’ this year reached 307.88 million KRW, of which 124.71 million KRW was delivered to Jeollanam-do for social welfare projects within the Jeonnam region. On the 23rd, about 180 million KRW was also delivered to Gwangju Metropolitan City.
Gwangju Bank, which has been delivering hometown love donations from the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Ae Sarang Card’ for the fourth year this year, donated 129 million KRW in 2018, 295 million KRW in 2019, 296 million KRW in 2020, totaling 1.03 billion KRW to the Gwangju·Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, practicing sharing with the local community through community-based management.
