[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte announced on the 28th that it donated 7 billion won in neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Korea. Since 1999, this marks the 23rd year of participating in donation activities with the Community Chest of Korea.
The donated funds will be primarily used to provide emergency support to families in crisis due to COVID-19 and to care for socially vulnerable groups, as well as to improve the quality of life for marginalized communities.
A Lotte Holdings official said, “The weather has become very cold, but we hope that even a small gesture of kindness will warmly reach every corner,” adding, “Next year, all employees will strive to visit and check on those who are marginalized and struggling at least once more.”
