According to Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Im Jae-su) on the 24th, a report was received on the 23rd at 10:50 PM that Mr. A (in his 50s) fell during construction work and injured his ribs on Gageodo Island, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The Coast Guard coordinated between the patrol vessel and the coastal rescue boat of the police substation to safely transport the patient to Seomang Port, Jindo-gun at 5:06 AM on the 24th.
Earlier, at 5:03 PM on the 23rd, the Coast Guard received a report that Ms. B (female, in her 70s) fractured her finger after slipping and falling in Jodo, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do. Using the coastal rescue boat of the police substation, the Coast Guard safely transported the patient to Seomang Port, Jindo, supporting prompt hospital treatment.
The two emergency patients urgently transported with the help of the Coast Guard were moved to a large hospital in Mokpo and are currently receiving treatment.
