Woori Card Successfully Hosts 'Digital Urban Farmer' for Eco-Friendly Finance
Collaboration with Eco-Friendly Smart Farm Operated by Disabled Youth
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Woori Card announced on the 23rd that it has successfully completed the untact rural experience program 'Digital Urban Farmer.'
This event was conducted with the eco-friendly smart farm 'Purume Social Farm,' operated by disabled youth, to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) eco-friendly finance through contactless agricultural experiences and smart farm support.
About 20 Woori Card employees participated in this program for approximately 40 days starting last month. They leased garden plots at a farm located in Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and remotely cultivated crops via online connections. Every two weeks, they held untact cooking competitions using harvested tomatoes and mushrooms, and received veranda garden kits to grow lettuce, green onions, cucumbers, carrots, and green chili peppers at home.
