Bae Insu, Former Head of Seochang Nonghyup, Receives 'Merit Plaque' from Disabled Volunteer Organization
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Bae Insu, former head of Seochang Nonghyup, recently received a plaque of appreciation at the ‘33rd Bitgoeul Gwangju Love Disabled and Volunteers Unity Festival.’
The event, hosted by the Gwangju Gomduri Volunteer Association (President Park Yonggu) and the Gwangju Metropolitan City Social Welfare Errand Support Center, was attended by local political and governmental figures including Kim Jonghyo, Deputy Mayor of Gwangju, Kim Yongjip, Chairman of the Gwangju City Council, district mayors, as well as disabled individuals and volunteers.
Former head Bae was recognized for his significant contributions to creating an environment that enables transportation convenience and social welfare errand services for the disabled and elderly, as well as for promoting sharing and volunteer spirit to enhance welfare for the disabled.
Former head Bae said, "I am proud to have helped disabled and marginalized groups who live difficult lives in the community, and receiving the plaque of appreciation makes it even more meaningful. I will continue to serve and share so that vulnerable groups in the region can have hope."
