Audi Volkswagen Korea Conducts 'Secret Santa' Sharing Event for Underprivileged Children
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Audi Volkswagen Korea announced on the 23rd that it delivered Christmas gifts to underprivileged children living in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, who suffered great damage from the large wildfire in February.
Now in its fourth year, the ‘Secret Santa’ sharing campaign is one of Audi Volkswagen Korea’s representative community contribution activities, carried out in partnership with the nonprofit organization Korea Social Investment.
Through a 1:1 matching fund between employees and the company, the campaign is conducted with the purpose of giving dreams and courage to lower-grade elementary school students who need social attention and care.
This year’s ‘Secret Santa and Rudolph’ sharing campaign was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner due to strengthened COVID-19 quarantine measures. One hundred Christmas gift boxes, consisting of meal replacements and snacks that children from low-income dual-income families can easily eat alone, along with Christmas cards personally written by participating employees, were delivered to the Andong City local children’s center. Social workers will individually deliver the gift boxes to the target children.
