"Let's Die Together" 40s Man Assaults and Threatens Ex-Wife After Divorce
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 40s who assaulted and threatened his ex-wife after their divorce was apprehended by the police.
On the 22nd, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that they have detained and are investigating a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Domestic Violence Punishment Act.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of forcibly taking his ex-wife into his car, assaulting, and threatening her on the 10th of last month.
Police investigation revealed that at around 9:20 a.m. on the day of the incident, Mr. A went to the workplace of his ex-wife in Dongjak-gu, forcibly put her into his vehicle, confined her, and assaulted her multiple times. He also reportedly threatened the victim by saying, "Let's die together."
