[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will provide 500,000 KRW in 'Emergency Disaster Relief Funds' to learning material teachers and others.
On the 22nd, Suwon City announced that it will provide 500,000 KRW in 'Suwon-type Emergency Disaster Relief Funds' to education-related workers in special employment forms who are experiencing difficulties due to a sharp decline in income caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Suwon-type Emergency Disaster Relief Funds are provided separately from government support and are funded by Suwon City's own budget. This year, the city has already provided the first round (artists and village bus workers for student commuting) and the second round (small business owners, special employment workers, freelancers, and youth unemployed) of emergency disaster relief funds.
This time, the funds will be provided only to education sector workers among special employment workers.
The eligible occupations include ▲ community and cultural center instructors ▲ after-school instructors ▲ academy instructors (language, tutoring, art, music, cooking, etc.) ▲ learning material teachers ▲ sports instructors and trainers ▲ visiting learning teachers, totaling about 3,000 people.
Eligible applicants can apply from today until 6 p.m. on January 12 of next year via the Suwon City website or by mail.
The city will review the application forms and supporting documents to determine the recipients, and starting from the 28th, will deposit 500,000 KRW per person into the bank accounts under the recipients' names.
