Suncheon Youth Training Center Successfully Concludes This Year's Activity Completion Ceremony and Presentation
Year-End Wrap-Up Through the Youth After-School Academy & Cultural Program Performance Presentation
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 21st that it held a ‘Completion Ceremony and Presentation’ for the Youth Training Center After-School Academy & Cultural Program.
The completion ceremony and presentation were held on the 18th at the Youth Training Center’s 3rd-floor cinema, following COVID-19 prevention guidelines, with 35 graduates of the Youth After-School Academy and 51 youths who completed the cultural program attending. The event proceeded in the order of the completion ceremony followed by the presentation.
Additionally, to allow youths, parents, and participants who could not attend the venue to join, the event scenes were broadcast live in real-time through an online platform.
At the event, the city presented certificates of completion to 132 participants of the After-School Academy and cultural programs, and awarded the Suncheon Mayor’s Commendation to two youths who achieved outstanding results.
Suncheon Mayor’s Commendation was also awarded to the Suncheon National University Science Gifted Education Center for actively supporting youth activity programs.
The presentation consisted of screening activity videos, plays, ukulele performances, broadcast dance, and media exhibitions, allowing youths to showcase the skills they had honed over time.
One youth who participated in the presentation said, “This presentation was a new cultural space where I could feel the joy of learning and the pleasure of participating,” adding, “It was great to share and communicate the activities and works from the past year.”
Mayor Heo Seok of Suncheon said, “I believe that through the diverse experiences and activities of the Youth Training Center After-School Academy, youths’ curiosity can be stimulated and their dreams and futures can be opened,” and added, “We will continue to support a wider range of activities to help nurture the dreams of youths.”

Meanwhile, the Youth Training Center After-School Academy is recruiting new students for next year, and the cultural program is scheduled to recruit participants in February next year.
