[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Minister of Unification Lee In-young stated that the MZ (Millennial and Gen Z) generation is the "decision-maker of future unification" and that their perspectives should be constructively embraced.
In a video congratulatory message at the 'Leading Universities for Unification Education Joint Academic Conference' held online on the 21st, Minister Lee said, "I have discovered hope and potential in the MZ generation to create new changes through the principles of coexistence and solidarity, beyond the old framework of division and confrontation."
Minister Lee emphasized, "Some express concerns that the MZ generation is 'not interested in unification' or 'negative about unification,' but they are the 'owners of peace' and the decision-makers of future unification. We must constructively accept the perceptions and perspectives of the MZ generation youth."
