Since taking office last year, he has drawn attention by personally fulfilling his promise to the residents to practice clean administration and serve only the citizens.
According to the county on the 21st, Governor Lee Sang-ik donated the entire salary of about 160 million won earned during his 1 year and 9 months in office the day before to the Hampyeong County Talent Development Scholarship Fund.
From his candidacy period, Lee Sang-ik promised to return his salary, expressing his desire to serve the residents without pay, and since April last year, he has kept his salary, including monthly wages and allowances, in the county’s non-tax revenue cash account during his tenure.

Governor Lee Sang-ik said, “I pledged to serve the residents with a sincere heart while performing my duties as governor and returned my salary. I find it even more meaningful that it can be used to nurture talents who will lead Hampyeong’s future,” adding, “I hope this will serve as an opportunity for more people to participate in the scholarship fund.”
