Professor Han-Kyung Lee of Yongin University Appointed as Next President of the Korean Society of Sport Science
Professor Han-kyung Lee of the Department of Physical Education at Yongin University will lead the Korean Society of Sport Science for two years starting in 2023. He was elected on the 18th at the 28th Korean Society of Sport Science presidential election held at the Korea National Sport University in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The Society elects the next president one year before the current president's term expires. Until next year, Professor Do-kyun Kim of Kyung Hee University will serve as president. Professor Lee, who will take over the baton, has served as the weightlifting coach for the 2004 Athens Paralympics, international director of the Korea Weightlifting Federation, and president of the Korean Society of Physical Education. He also worked as a referee at this year's Tokyo Olympics. The Korean Society of Sport Science is an academic organization established in 1953.
