View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 17th that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases was provisionally counted at 1,286 as of 6 p.m. that day.
Compared to the same time on the previous day (16th), it is 8 fewer than 1,276, and 206 more than 1,062 a week ago (10th). The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day was 2,846 on the 16th and 2,835 on the 10th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul surpassed 2,000 on the 30th of last month (2,222 cases), and on the 14th of this month, it reached 3,166 cases, marking the first time over 3,000 and setting a record high. Since the phased recovery to normal life (With Corona) was implemented last month, the record high has been broken nine times within a month and a half.
