The family claims that Lee Seokjun's crime was a "meticulously planned crime" and urged that "he should not be allowed to roam freely in the world."
On the 16th, a post titled "I am a bereaved family member of the Jamsil murder case. Please help me" was uploaded on the Blue House National Petition Board. The petitioner, A, who identified herself as a person under personal protection and the eldest daughter of the deceased, began by saying, "I am posting this petition to relieve the resentment of my mother who died unjustly and painfully."
She continued, "This case is a very meticulous crime planned and prepared over several days by the murderer Lee Seokjun," and claimed, "A murderer who drove my mother and younger brother, whom he had never met, to death in a short time and fled, yet claims it was accidental."
She also expressed the current feelings of the bereaved family, saying, "We are so unfairly and bitterly hurt that we cannot eat or sleep properly and spend every night in tears," and lamented, "I think the murderer Lee Seokjun should not be allowed to live comfortably eating warm meals three times a day in the detention center."
Furthermore, she urged, "I absolutely cannot bear to see the murderer Lee Seokjun freely roaming the world again in a few years," and appealed, "The murderer Lee Seokjun must be sentenced to death to soothe the painful hearts of my mother who died unjustly and my younger brother who is still fighting for his life in the hospital."

At the time, A’s father, who was out, reported to the police that "someone seems to have entered the house," and the police arrived at the scene in about five minutes. Inside the house, A’s mother and younger brother were found collapsed and bleeding. They were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but the mother ultimately passed away. The younger brother is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit and has regained consciousness.
Prior to this crime, Lee Seokjun was under police investigation for sexually assaulting and detaining A. Earlier, on the 6th, A’s father reported to the police that "my daughter seems to be detained," and the police located A and Lee Seokjun in Daegu.
The police separated A and Lee Seokjun and provided A, who requested personal protection, with a smartwatch. However, it was understood that there was no separate protection request for the family. In this situation, four days after the incident, Lee Seokjun came up to Seoul and committed the crime.
Earlier, on the 14th, the police held a personal information disclosure review committee and released Lee Seokjun’s name, age, and photo.
