WantedLab Successfully Concludes Recruitment-Linked Hackathon 'Hae, Career'
Conducted over 6 weeks since last October for job seekers... A total of 370 teams and 1,500 participants
On the 4th and 5th of last month, four teams that advanced to the final round of "Hae, Career," held at Hanwha Dream Park Training Center in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, are taking a group photo. COVID-19 prevention guidelines were strictly followed on-site, and the vaccination status of all participants was confirmed. Additionally, PCR tests were conducted for everyone 48 hours before the event, regardless of vaccination status.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Following a 6-week IT audition for job seekers, a large-scale internship recruitment has begun. Wanted Lab Co., Ltd., which operates the AI-based career platform Wanted, announced on the 16th that the 'Hae, Career' hackathon was successfully completed.
This 'Hae, Career' hackathon targeted job seekers interested in IT service planning and development, with the mission of developing an 'app service for university students in the with-COVID era.' The evaluation and judging involved top IT industry professionals from companies such as △Woowa Brothers △Yanolja △TikTok △LINE Friends △Ably △Wanted Lab.
The competition was held over 6 weeks starting in October. A total of 370 teams and 1,500 participants competed, with 50 teams passing the preliminary round and 4 teams advancing to the final round. The total prize money was 100 million KRW, with △1st place team receiving 30 million KRW △2nd place team 10 million KRW △3rd and 4th place teams each receiving 5 million KRW.
The four teams that advanced to the final round after fierce competition were △Sanghanga △Spacer △Uh? Geumji △Jinx. The △Sanghanga team presented 'Campus Dot,' a university-based restaurant recommendation app where enrolled students write reviews of nearby restaurants. The △Spacer team introduced 'Crew Space,' an integrated platform supporting club management and activities. The △Uh? Geumji team launched 'Unibooth,' a university festival-exclusive platform that vividly shares festival scenes and encourages student booth participation. The △Jinx team unveiled 'sinc,' a short-form-based performance promotion and funding platform connecting university artists and consumers.
All four teams in the final round, as well as the top 20% of outstanding participating teams, were awarded badges (Gold, Silver, Bronze) that are displayed on their Wanted resumes for one year. These badges highlight participants' excellent capabilities and can enhance their competitiveness when applying for job postings on Wanted.
One finalist said, "While working on this hackathon project, I realized how much I truly love development, to the point that staying up all night was enjoyable." Another participant shared, "Through mentoring from industry professionals, I gained insight into the previously vague world of the field and was able to envision my future more concretely as a service planner."
Kim Sehun, co-founder and head of new business at Wanted Lab, who participated in judging and mentoring, stated, "Through this hackathon, we were able to glimpse the outstanding potential and possibilities of university students and job seekers. Wanted will continue to support talented individuals to demonstrate their skills and grow their careers."

The final round event was produced as a web entertainment video and will be released on the tvN D STUDIO YouTube channel. Following the teaser video release on the 22nd, a total of three episodes will be broadcast.
