Namguk Kim Raises Suspicion: Kwon Seongdong's 'Sexual Harassment Allegation' Drinking Party Included Lee Junseok and Yoon Seokyeol
"Yoon Seok-yeol's Close Associates Keep Holding Drinking Parties... Seriously Problematic" Criticism
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Kim Nam-guk, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, raised allegations of violating quarantine rules at a drinking party where Kwon Seong-dong, Secretary General of the People Power Party, was involved in a 'sexual harassment suspicion,' stating that "Representative Lee Jun-seok and candidate Yoon Seok-yeol were also present."
On the morning of the 15th, Kim appeared on TBS Radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' and said, "On the night of the 10th, including reporters, about 10 people went back and forth between several bars and held a drinking party," referring to the situation.
Kim said, "Whether this is a violation of quarantine rules is also a key issue," adding, "I understand that local media are currently investigating this matter." He also pointed out, "In the situation where COVID-19 is resurging, it is very problematic that close aides of candidate Yoon, who holds a key position as Secretary General of the campaign, are continuously holding drinking parties."
Earlier, the YouTube channel 'Yeollin Gonggam TV' reported that on the 10th, after candidate Yoon and Secretary General Kwon had a drinking party with journalists at a restaurant in Gangneung, Kwon allegedly made sexually harassing remarks to a couple drinking at a neighboring table as they were leaving.
The couple reported Secretary General Kwon to the police on charges of sexual assault. According to police records, after arriving at the scene, the parties involved decided to consider how to handle the case, so only counseling was provided and the case was temporarily closed.
