KSD Nanum Foundation Holds Donation Ceremony for Support Project to Help Vulnerable Groups Achieve Independence
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] The KSD Nanum Foundation of the Korea Securities Depository announced on the 15th that it delivered 200 million KRW in sponsorship funds for the ‘KSD Maumeum-eum Public Contest Project’ to the project partner, the Community Chest of Korea, at the Depository’s Seoul office.
This project was planned to support customized social welfare projects for target groups by soliciting and selecting projects that contribute to strengthening employment competitiveness and linking jobs to establish a socio-economic self-reliance foundation for vulnerable groups since 2019. In particular, it aims to support socially vulnerable areas such as people with rare disabilities, mental disabilities, and children and youth discharged from facilities, and to raise social interest.
In cooperation with the Community Chest, four projects related to people with disabilities and one project related to children and youth discharged from facilities were selected this year, totaling five projects. The selected project implementing organizations will each receive about 40 million KRW in project funds and will carry out customized support projects for the respective target groups for one year. Depending on the project evaluation, support can be extended for up to three years.
