Suwon City 'Detects' 4 Private Surveying Firms Violating Related Laws... Fines and Other Measures Taken
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province has identified four private surveying companies that violated related laws and imposed administrative measures such as cancellation of registration and fines.
On the 15th, Suwon City announced that it conducted the "2021 Local Surveying Companies Guidance and Inspection" for two months from October 1 to November 30 to protect and foster sound surveying companies and provide high-quality surveying services to citizens.
This inspection was the first to be conducted since the management of surveying businesses was transferred from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province to the Mayor of Suwon (a metropolitan city mayor) on January 1 of this year.
The city inspected a total of 18 registered private surveying companies (public, general, cadastral, etc.) to check whether they maintained the registration standards for surveying businesses (technical personnel, equipment), reported changes in registration details (technical personnel, equipment, location, representative, etc.), and whether surveying equipment performance inspections were conducted.
Through the inspection, the city identified four companies that violated related laws. Among them, one company that violated the surveying business registration standards due to insufficient technical personnel will have its registration canceled and fined after a hearing request. Additionally, three companies that delayed reporting changes in surveying business registration details (location, representative, technical personnel, equipment, etc.) will be fined.
The city also immediately corrected minor violations that could be rectified on-site.
The city plans to conduct guidance and inspections of all private surveying companies in the region once a year, and prevent deterioration of surveying companies by utilizing regular inspections and sending SMS notifications.
