Oh Byung-kwon Acting Governor Urges "Political Neutrality During Election Periods in Gyeonggi Province Affiliated Organizations"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Oh Byeong-kwon, Acting Governor of Gyeonggi Province, has ordered political neutrality of public institutions under the province and the establishment of public service discipline at the end of the year ahead of next year's presidential election.
On the 14th, at the 'Gyeonggi Province Public Institution Heads Meeting' held via non-face-to-face video conference at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office in Suwon, Acting Governor Oh said, "The role of public institutions is very important in that they provide public services while directly interacting with residents in the field of people's livelihood," adding, "Especially since it is a period before the election, I ask the heads of public institutions to pay special attention to ensuring political neutrality and service discipline among public institution employees."
Regarding the relocation of 15 provincial public institutions to the northeastern region, Acting Governor Oh said, "Some have already moved to new areas and started working, but there are still many hurdles to overcome such as securing relocation sites, offices, and measures for employees' relocation," adding, "Since this is a promise to the residents for balanced development, please gather wisdom for a smooth relocation."
He also added, "Let's strive to resolve matters requiring cooperation with the Gyeonggi Provincial Council and the National Assembly, including next year's Gyeonggi Province budget, through smooth communication."
At the meeting, Acting Governor Oh also discussed next year's public institution management evaluation, institution head evaluation, and the establishment of next year's public institution staffing plan.

Meanwhile, about 50 people, including heads, acting officers, and department heads of all 27 public institutions in the province, such as the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, attended the meeting.
