Amid controversy over a question error leading to the postponement of the answer decision for question 20 in the Life Science II section of the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test, examinees are receiving their score reports on the 10th at Gyeongbok High School in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education has decided to move up the announcement date for the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) Life Science II scores by two days. This change follows the court's rescheduling of the answer cancellation lawsuit ruling from the 17th to the 15th.
On the 14th, the Ministry of Education announced, after consultations with the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, the University Education Council, and universities, that the Life Science II CSAT scores will be released at 6 p.m. on the 15th.
On the same day, the Seoul Administrative Court Administrative Division 6 changed the ruling date for the lawsuit seeking cancellation of the Life Science II answer key decision to 2 p.m. on the 15th. Considering the universities' admission schedules, the ruling date was moved up from the original 1:30 p.m. on the 17th.
The Ministry of Education decided to maintain the schedule for early admission acceptance announcements and other related dates without further adjustments. On the 10th, the Ministry had already changed the early admission acceptance announcement to the 18th, the registration period to the 18th?21st, and the period for filling vacancies due to non-registration to the 22nd?28th.
The Ministry stated, "The university admission schedule will be maintained as postponed without further changes," adding, "Since the revised schedule has already been communicated to examinees, making additional changes could cause further confusion among students."

The court accepted examinees' requests for provisional suspension of execution, temporarily suspending the validity of the correct answer for question 20 of Life Science II until the first trial ruling is announced. Depending on the ruling, the question will either be counted as correct for all or the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation's answer key will be upheld.
