On the same day, Prime Minister Kim presided over a Cabinet meeting at the Government Complex Seoul and said, "Due to a sudden surge in users at a specific time, system errors occurred in the electronic vaccination certificate app and the electronic entry log system, which verify vaccination history," expressing his apology.
The government ended the guidance period for the quarantine pass at multi-use facilities and officially implemented it from the previous day. Penalties apply for violations, but on the first day, system failures caused inconvenience due to a surge in users during lunchtime.
