Jeju Coast Guard, Wins 'Encouragement Award' in Public Participation Integrity Content Contest
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Regional Maritime Police Agency (Chief Oh Sang-kwon) announced on the 13th that the Public Relations Division of Jeju Maritime Police Agency won the Encouragement Award in the video category at the ‘2021 National Participation Integrity Content Contest’ hosted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute.
The Public Relations Division’s work titled ‘Integrity Level,’ which won the Encouragement Award in this contest, featured the head of the Public Relations Division as a show host selling the nearly sold-out integrity level in a home shopping format, making it enjoyable and easy for viewers to relate to.
The contest, held by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute to promote a culture of integrity, was conducted over approximately four months from June to October.
Under the theme ‘Finding the 21st Century Golden Axe and Silver Axe Integrity Heroes,’ the contest received a record-high 2,570 entries across five categories: essays, poetry, webtoons/posters/illustrations, videos, and songs. A total of 50 works, 10 from each category, were selected.
A Jeju agency official said, “Rather than simply listing ordinary information, we tried to strongly convey the importance of integrity in a short time by borrowing the home shopping format. We aimed to communicate in a friendly manner by abandoning an authoritative image and showing the human and cheerful side of maritime police officers.”
Meanwhile, Jeju Maritime Police Agency is promoting the spread of integrity culture and strengthening employees’ commitment to integrity by ▲holding a slogan contest for spreading integrity culture and producing related items (banners, mugs) ▲hosting integrity clubs at Jeju agency and affiliated stations and producing integrity stickers for promotion.
Additionally, they are conducting ▲production of integrity UCC videos with maritime police families and commanders, posting them on YouTube ▲relay posting of integrity signboards at field departments ▲‘Acorn Time,’ a talk session sharing lunch with the command team ▲‘Sangha-hwamok 3.3,’ a tea time with the Jeju chief and employees at 3:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
