Hyundai Motor Group Donates 25 Billion KRW to Community Chest of Korea for Neighbor Assistance
Accumulated 334 Billion KRW Delivered Over 19 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hyundai Motor Group has donated 25 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea for helping neighbors in need.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 13th that it held a donation ceremony at the Sarangui Yeolmae Hall located in Jung-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Hyundai Motor Group President Gong Young-woon and Community Chest of Korea Chairman Cho Heung-sik, among others.
The Community Chest of Korea conducts the Hope Sharing Campaign every year from December 1 to January 31 to assist neighbors in difficulty during the year-end and New Year period. Hyundai Motor Group has been donating to the Community Chest of Korea annually since 2003, with a cumulative donation amount of 334 billion KRW over 19 years up to this year.
The donated funds will be used for various projects including support for COVID-19 daily recovery, social welfare facilities, nurturing and self-reliance support for children and youth talents, and assistance for transportation-vulnerable groups such as the disabled, children, and the elderly.
