Realmeter "Yoon Leads Lee by 5.5%p... Support Rate Gap Narrowed by 1%p"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, and Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, have narrowed the gap in support rates in the latest presidential election poll.
According to a survey commissioned by OhmyNews to Realmeter, conducted from the 5th to the 10th over six days targeting 3,043 adults aged 18 and over nationwide, using a mixed method of wireless telephone interviews (5%) and wireless (85%) and wired (10%) automated responses, in a hypothetical one-on-one contest, candidate Yoon received 45.2% support, leading candidate Lee who recorded 39.7% by 5.5 percentage points. Yoon's support rate rose by 1.2%, and Lee's support rate increased by 2.2 percentage points. As a result, the gap narrowed by 1 percentage point compared to last week's poll.
Ahn Cheol-soo, the presidential candidate of the People’s Party, was surveyed at 3.8%, and Sim Sang-jung, the presidential candidate of the Justice Party, at 3.3%.
In the electability survey, candidate Yoon was at 47.9%, and candidate Lee at 45%. Compared to the previous survey, Yoon rose by 0.6 percentage points, and Lee by 1.7 percentage points. The electability survey asks respondents how people around them perceive the candidates, unlike the support rate survey, and is used for analyzing the election landscape. The gap between the two sides also narrowed in the electability survey.
Meanwhile, in response to the question of “which candidate can best solve labor issues,” candidate Lee led with 38.8%, surpassing candidate Yoon who received 34.8%.
