KH Group Launches 'Goyang KH Football Club'... Aiming for 2022 K4 League Championship

KH Sports, a subsidiary of KH Group IHQ led by Chairman Bae Sang-yoon from Yeonggwang, Jeonnam, announced on the 11th that it held the ‘Goyang KH Football Club Inauguration Ceremony’ on the 10th at Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The inauguration ceremony, held with a minimal number of attendees due to COVID-19, was graced by the presence of Bae Sang-yoon, Chairman of KH Group, Park Jong-jin, President of IHQ, Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Goyang, Lee Yong-woo, Member of the National Assembly, city and provincial council members, the President of Goyang Sports Council, the President of Goyang Football Association, and the President of the Jaekyung Yeonggwang Hometown Association.

Bae Sang-yoon, the club owner, said, “KH Group spares no support for less popular sports such as judo and ice skating and actively carries out social contribution activities through the Blue Nanum Foundation. Through Goyang KH Football Club, we want to help football players who had to give up their dreams due to various circumstances to play freely.”

He added, “We will support and cheer for Goyang KH Football Club to develop into a prestigious citizen football club.”

Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Goyang, said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Chairman Bae Sang-yoon of KH Group and President Park Jong-jin of IHQ for their help in signing the football club establishment agreement last September and holding the inauguration ceremony within a short period of three months. The establishment of Goyang KH Football Club will be an opportunity for Goyang City to become a global sports city beyond Korea.”

At the event, Kim Chang-gyun, President of the Jaekyung Yeonggwang Hometown Association, Jo Seong-ho, President of the Korea Computer Game Industry Central Association, Lim Gi-nam, former football coach of the National Assemblymen’s Federation, and Park Rae-eon, President of the Jaekyung Yeonggwang Hometown Association Football Club, donated development funds for Goyang KH Football Club.

Lee Il-jun, Chairman of Daeyang Industrial Development and Vice President of Goyang Sports Council, held a luncheon after the event to celebrate the inauguration, creating a meaningful time.

Goyang KH Football Club donated funds for the construction of the Football Hall to the Goyang Football Association and plans to continuously carry out various social contribution activities for local residents and communities, including participation in the K4 League, youth development support, and operation of educational programs.

Following the inaugural and congratulatory speeches, the club’s slogan ‘It’s Started Do Win’ and the uniforms and emblems that players will wear during the season were unveiled.

The emblem of Goyang KH Football Club places a soccer ball symbolizing the globe at the center and combines the images of a spear and shield. It represents the development, victory, status, and hope created through the unity of the city, citizens, and companies.

Declaring its official launch on this day, Goyang KH Football Club will begin its full-fledged journey toward winning the Korea Football Association’s 2022 K4 League, starting with regional training camps.
