The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 11th that taxi driver Mr. A was booked on charges of hit-and-run causing death under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, and driver Mr. B was booked on charges of causing death under the Special Act on Traffic Accident.
According to the police, around 10 p.m. on the 9th at the Yeongdeungpo Telephone Office intersection in Yeongdeungpo-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, a man in his 30s, Mr. C, walked onto the road between lanes to catch a taxi waiting at a traffic signal.
However, as the taxi started moving, Mr. C fell and was hit and killed by Mr. B's SUV vehicle following behind.
