Changwon City Holds Award Ceremony for 'Eco-Friendly Green Apartment Making Contest'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 10th, Changwon City in Gyeongnam held an awards ceremony for the 'Eco-friendly Green Apartment Making Competition,' which 35 apartments participated in from April to September to promote carbon-neutral living practices, as well as an awards ceremony for the 'Idea Contest.'
The awarded apartments are as follows: ▲In the Climate Crisis Adaptation category, the Grand Prize went to Jaeun 3 LH Cheonnyeonnamu, Excellence Awards to Jaeun 3 Central Village and Jinhae Jaeun Jugong Complex 1, and Encouragement Awards to Dogye Humansia and Yangdeok Woosung; ▲In the Energy Reduction category, the Grand Prize went to Gyobang Sangnok, Excellence Awards to Changwon Hyeondong LH and Peace Village, and Encouragement Awards to Masan Samgye 2 Jugong and Jinhae Mijin Easybia; ▲In the Resource Circulation category, the Grand Prize went to Bongnim Humansia Complex 1, Excellence Awards to Bongnim Humansia Complex 2 and Shinwoo Ace Town, and Encouragement Awards to Supsokmaeul Jugong Green Ville Complex 4, Changwon Seokdong LH, and Gaenari Complex 1.
In particular, Bongnim Humansia Complex 1 achieved the great feat of winning the Minister of Environment Award by submitting their activities to the 'Carbon Neutral Competition' hosted by the Ministry of Environment. Changwon Seokdong LH received a special award for their community practice of operating a shared and communal refrigerator among apartment residents, which prevents food waste by sharing ingredients with neighbors.
The city also held the '1st Changwon City Carbon Neutral Realization Idea Contest' in August, receiving a total of 93 submissions and selecting 9 finalists who were awarded together on this day.
