Gwangju University Holds Inauguration Ceremony for Foreign Student Volunteer Group

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 10th the launch of the 'Hosim Foreign Student Volunteer Group' composed of international students.
The 'Hosim Foreign Student Volunteer Group' consists of 338 language training students and degree students from Vietnam, China, Laos, Mongolia, and Myanmar.
The international students will participate in various volunteer activities together with the Hosim Social Volunteer Group, which is composed of university professors, staff, and students, aiming to contribute to the local community and practice knowledge sharing.
Jeon Jeong-hwan, Director of International Cooperation at Gwangju University, said, "This will be an opportunity for international students to develop a sense of community by engaging in volunteer activities," and added, "We will actively support delivering hope to neighbors in need by cooperating with the on-campus volunteer group and Nam-gu Volunteer Center."
