Ilyeon FNC Doubles Ready Meal Sales... Launches Over 40 Varieties This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Iyeon FNC's sales volume of convenience foods this year has doubled compared to last year.
On the 10th, according to Iyeon FNC, the convenience food products sold on its online shopping mall 'Hanchon Mall' increased by about 130% compared to last year.
Iyeon FNC expanded its convenience food business by developing and launching about 40 products this year alone. Hanchon Mall sells about 30 products including soup and stew convenience foods as well as seasoned meat convenience foods, offering a variety from room temperature to frozen products.
Additionally, by introducing products in collaboration with Homeplus, CU, and Kim's Club, Iyeon FNC actively promoted its brand. In particular, more than 20 types of convenience food products, including Homeplus-exclusive soup and stew convenience foods, were launched this year amid positive consumer responses.

An Iyeon FNC official said, "Thanks to the Osong Smart Factory completed in 2019, large-scale broth supply has become possible, allowing us to gradually expand the convenience food business."
