Ulsan Office of Education Opens Special Lectures on Parent Education by Professional Instructors
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, trainee reporter Hwang Dooyul] On the 9th, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education held a special lecture on parent education by a professional instructor for about 200 parents in Ulsan.
The special lecture invited Professor Kim Kyung-il from the Department of Psychology at Ajou University. The special lecture on parent education by a professional instructor is a project supported by the Ministry of Education for parent education.
Professional instructors desired by parents are invited to provide important information on child education with topics such as learning methods, understanding children, psychological counseling, future society's necessary competencies, and healing. The special lecture has been held annually to strengthen parents' capabilities.
Last November, a relay of special lectures by professional instructors was held with topics including ‘Digital Literacy’ by applied linguist Professor Kim Sung-woo, ‘Future Education’ by Ajou University President Park Hyung-joo, ‘Understanding Children’ by psychiatrist Professor Kim Hyun-soo, ‘Ecological City’ by Seoul City University Professor Jung Seok, and ‘Democratic School Culture’ by Lee Jun-won, director of the Teacher Mind Support Center.
410 parents participated in the five online special lectures, communicating with the instructors through comments in the chat window.
Professor Kim Kyung-il from the Department of Psychology at Ajou University gave a special lecture on the topic ‘The Changing Measures of Happiness After COVID-19’.
