Kakao Bank Partners with Kyobo for Data Collaboration and Financial Platform Business Alliance
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] KakaoBank announced on the 9th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for data cooperation and various financial platform business partnerships with Kyobo Life Insurance, Kyobo Book Centre, and Kyobo Securities.
In the data sector, KakaoBank will collaborate with Kyobo Book Centre. KakaoBank plans to advance its credit evaluation model by researching and analyzing non-financial data such as customers' book purchase histories held by Kyobo Book Centre. They will also combine Kyobo Book Centre's distinctive content with KakaoBank's financial platform to jointly promote financial product partnerships and marketing.
With Kyobo Securities and Kyobo Life Insurance, they will pursue various linked financial products and services such as securities account openings, and develop financial products that can include medium-credit customers and those lacking financial history.
